Capiz shell is the outer shell of the marine clam, a mollusk farm-raised in the shallow coastal waters of the Philippines.  The lovely pearlescent appearance of the capiz shell has long made it a sought after material for regional handicrafts.  These charming two toned bowls have a layer of food safe polymer that makes them suitable for hot and cold foods.  They are perfect for cocktail nuts and fresh morning berries.
